If you’re looking for things to do this October half term with your family or young children, The Langham London is here with a brilliant event. On the 21st October, award-winning children’s author and illustrator Frann Preston-Gannon will be hosting a reading and drawing session in partnership with Daunt Books.
Created to celebrate and encourage young readers, bookworms will have the chance to meet and learn from a celebrated author. Frann will be creating a story-time and colouring masterclass inspired by her latest book – In the Swamp by the Light of the Moon – released earlier this spring. Little ones will have the chance to take home a signed copy, or can also opt to swap for a book from a mini library specially curated by Daunt Books for readers aged 3-12 years.
Adding a magical element to the event, the experience will be accompanied by a child-friendly afternoon tea. Designed to be engaging with interactive jigsaw-puzzle sandwiches and a delectable selection of sweet treats and tasty savouries, it’s the icing on the cake of a lovely afternoon. Grown-ups will meanwhile be served the SeasonaliTea, and can dine rest-assured that both afternoon tea options are created using the finest ingredients.
The author reading takes place on 21st October 2019 at 12 noon, and requires advance booking. Children’s Afternoon Tea with Daunt Books is available every day from 12 noon until 5.30pm and costs £29.50 per child, while adults’ afternoon tea costs £62 per person. For reservations, please call 020 7636 1000.
