Kathryn Davey Natural Dyes Workshop
Date: 12th September

Join Kathryn Davey, a self-taught designer and natural dyer from Ireland for a dyeing workshop at tibits, Heddon Street.
Passionate about textiles, natural dyes and the integrity of true craftsmanship, Kathryn loves sharing the joy and magic of plant dyes with others and teaches natural dye workshops around the world. In this workshop you will learn the basics in natural dyeing with simple dye techniques, using ingredients readily available in your kitchen as well as working with Indigo and learning the ancient art of pattern making through Shibori. Katheryn will show you how to set up your own Indigo Vat & dye baths, prepare fabric for dyeing and demonstrate how to achieve the best results at home. Together you will explore various Shibori techniques including binding, clamping, and tying in order to create beautiful patterns naturally and sustainably.
All materials will be provided and you will leave with all the samples you make in class, as well as a few extra special surprises.
The workshop will be held at tibits, Heddon Street, with vegetarian and vegan canapes and cocktails served throughout the evening.

Illustration class with Naomi Howarth

Join Naomi Howarth, a London based designer and illustrator, at L’Occitane for an illustration class like no other. Taking inspiration from the natural ingredients used in L’Occitane products, such as lavender and rose, Naomi will teach you illustration techniques including colour mixing and brushstroke movements. Once you have mastered the basics, you’ll then work on designing your own stationary.
