September 2018 marked the return of Fashion and Design Month and the ever popular month-long Speaker Series. This year was one of our favourites so far, with six events taking place across Regent Street.
During Speaker Series 2018, we encouraged visitors to get creative. The likes of designer Kathryn Davey hosted a natural dye workshop at tibits, whilst illustrator Naomi Howarth hosted a hands-on watercolour illustration workshop at L’Occitane.
Fashion was at the forefront this September: broadcaster, TV presenter and style muse Laura Jackson hosted an Accessories Trends Talk & Workshop at Tommy Hilfiger; and Lisa Armstrong, Head of Fashion at The Daily Telegraph hosted a discussion on ageing in the fashion industry with mature model Jan de Villeneuve.
We also paid a lot of attention to social media, with an expert panel featuring Katherine Ormerod, Author of ‘Why Social Media is Ruining Your Life’, Alex Stedman, Founder of The Frugality, and Kelly Eastwood Founder of The London Chatter. Their panel discussed the importance of finding inspiration and balance in today’s hyper-connected world. We also hosted London-based photographer, graphic designer, and social media expert Shini Park’s workshop on digital design at Hotel Café Royal.
